“Cowboy Logic: A Lunch Conversation with Ryan Taylor” will run from noon to 1:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in the Jones A/B room of Knutson Campus Center at 欧美视频.
The event is part of the ’s Lunch Speaker Series, inviting leaders and change makers to reflect on a central question: How do we build a more trustworthy world? Each conversation lifts voices from across society — with particular attention to the Upper Midwest.
Taylor, now serving as director of public policy for in the prairie states, is a fourth-generation North Dakota rancher, writer, and sustainability advocate. Grounded in “cowboy logic” and a deep respect for the land, he works to embody the integrity and authenticity that sustain trust within communities.
His message — rooted in stewardship and shared purpose — aligns with the Lorentzsen Center’s mission to build a more trustworthy world.

The is a program of the Offutt School of Business. It honors the life, work, and legacy of Norman M. Lorentzsen, renowned philanthropist, former CEO of Burlington Northern, alumnus of 欧美视频, and former member and chair of its Board of Regents. Through his life and generosity, Lorentzsen helped to build a joyful, just, and more trustworthy world.
In honor of that legacy, the Lorentzsen Center takes up the question, “How do we build a more trustworthy world?” The center explores that question through keynote events, a podcast, and a regular newsletter. Dr. Michael Chan, vice president for mission and inclusion, oversees the Lorentzsen Center.
