FARGO — For 14 years, a local nonprofit has quietly been changing the lives of Fargo teenagers who receive mentoring and encouragement as they work toward graduation.

The Legacy Children's Foundation now has a dean of students who has "been there, done that."

A leader who got her start as a student at Legacy, wanting and needing help.

"So, for today's lesson, our main focus and value of the day is going to be gratitude," said Mary Sem, dean of students at Legacy.
